Tung Ying Building

The Tung Ying Building, located at 100 Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, was a notable 17-storey office and shopping complex built in the 1960s, showcasing a rare architectural style in Hong Kong. Named after Sir Robert Hotung and his wife, it featured a statue of Sir Robert at its entrance. Despite the Hotung family's initial intention to retain the building, it was sold after the death of Sir Robert's grandson. In 2006, the building was demolished to make way for The ONE shopping centre, which was completed in 2009/2010, marking a significant transformation in the area.
