Tovrea Castle ("Wedding Cake" Castle)

Tovrea Castle is a concrete, stepped structure built in the late 1920s–early 1930s, locally nicknamed the "Wedding Cake" because of its tiered design. Situated on a hill and surrounded by cactus gardens, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is managed as Tovrea Castle State Historic Park with periodic guided tours that interpret its history and landscape. The distinctive silhouette and gardens make it a noted Phoenix landmark.
