Florida Theatre (1927 atmospheric movie palace)

The Florida Theatre opened in 1927 as a downtown 'wonder theater' and is one of the few surviving atmospheric-style movie palaces in the United States. Its interior features ornate Spanish baroque detailing and a ceiling designed to resemble a starry night sky. The venue continues to operate as a performing arts center hosting concerts, films, and community events, and its historic theatre organ is preserved and used for special performances.
