Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library

The Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library and Museum preserves the papers, recordings, and artifacts of President Lyndon B. Johnson and opened on the University of Texas at Austin campus in 1971. The library houses exhibits on domestic policy, the Great Society, and the Vietnam War, and provides research access to presidential archives. It is a major cultural and educational landmark in the East Campus/downtown neighborhood area.
