Shofuso Japanese House and Garden - traditional Japanese cultural site

Shofuso Japanese House and Garden is a 17th-century-style Japanese house and garden in West Fairmount Park that opened to the public in 1958 as a cultural exchange. The house is designed in the sukiya-zukuri style and the site preserves traditional garden design and architectural elements. Shofuso hosts tea ceremonies, cultural events, and educational programs and is a recognized neighborhood cultural landmark.
