History Colorado Office of Archaeology & Historic Preservation and the CHAMP site files

The Office of Archaeology & Historic Preservation (OAHP), part of History Colorado in Denver, administers the State Historic Preservation Office and maintains Colorado's archaeological site files through the Colorado Historical Asset Management Program (CHAMP). CHAMP contains records of archaeological surveys, site forms, and inventory data used by researchers, cultural-resource managers, and consultants across the state. The OAHP oversees state and federal compliance for archaeological resources and manages access to professional archaeological records.
