Pioneer Courthouse Square

Pioneer Courthouse Square opened in 1984 as a public plaza in downtown Portland and is commonly nicknamed "Portland's living room." The 40,000-square-foot site frequently hosts civic gatherings, concerts, markets, and cultural events. It was developed as a dedicated urban public space on a previously commercial block and remains a central meeting place in the city.
