The High Line public art program

The High Line is an elevated public park on a former freight rail line that opened in phases beginning in 2009 and is managed by Friends of the High Line and NYC Parks. Since its opening the park has hosted a rotating program of site-specific and temporary public art commissions by international and local artists, presenting sculpture, installations, and performances integrated with the landscape. The High Line's art program is documented through published commissions and exhibition schedules for visitors and researchers.
