Belgrade Town Hall Building

The Belgrade Town Hall, located at 1 Uzun Mirkova Street, is a cultural monument built around 1846 during the reign of Prince Aleksandar Karađorđević. Originally serving as a hotel named 'Serbian Crown', it became a hub for social and cultural events in the 19th century. The building features a classic two-storey facade with monumental fluted semi-columns and lunette windows, significantly altered by a 1928 renovation. It housed the Belgrade Municipality until 1961 and later became the Yugoslav Film Archive, which restored it for modern use. The Town Hall's rich history includes hosting important events and its architectural blend of classicism and romanticism makes it a notable site for tourists and researchers alike.
