Hotel O'Higgins

Hotel O'Higgins, the oldest hotel in Viña del Mar, Chile, boasts a rich history dating back to its inauguration in 1936. Located in the city center across from Plaza Latorre, it features 270 rooms and has served as a hub for artists during the Viña del Mar International Song Festival for decades. The hotel underwent renovations after the 2010 earthquake and was a venue for various social events and conventions. Unfortunately, it closed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has since been repurposed for community needs, including serving as a quarantine site and shelter for fire survivors. Its future remains uncertain as it awaits new developments.
