Richardson Silk Mill

The Richardson Silk Mill, located in Belding, Michigan, is a historic industrial building listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1985. Originally constructed in 1886 by the Belding Brothers, it became a successful silk manufacturing site before being sold to George Richardson. The mill operated until 1932 and has since been repurposed into apartments known as the Flats on the River. The four-story structure features distinctive architectural elements, including two five-story towers and arched windows, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers interested in industrial history and architecture.
