Seattle Times Building

The Seattle Times Building, located in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle, served as the headquarters for The Seattle Times newspaper from 1931 to 2011. Designed by Robert C. Reamer in an Art Deco style, the building features a distinctive facade with etched columns and aluminum grillwork. It was recognized as a city landmark in 1996. Following the newspaper's departure, the building was sold in 2013, with plans to integrate its facade into a new residential development. The site reflects Seattle's architectural evolution and the history of one of its major newspapers.
