Charles S. Barrett Building

The Charles S. Barrett Building, located in the Merion Village neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio, is a historic site that showcases Italianate architecture. Originally completed in 1900 as South High School, it was listed on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 2006 and the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. After serving as a school, the building was transformed into apartments known as The Barrett in the mid-2010s, featuring 52 residential units. The redevelopment also included the construction of 108 apartments and 22 single-family homes in the surrounding area, making it a significant part of the community's revitalization efforts.
