Amon Carter Museum of American Art collection focus

The Amon Carter Museum of American Art was founded by Amon G. Carter Sr. and opened in 1961 to showcase American art, with especially strong holdings of works by Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell. The original building was designed by architect Philip Johnson and the museum later expanded with additional gallery space. General admission to the museum is free.
