Bartram's Garden tidal wetland and stormwater features

Bartram's Garden on the Schuylkill River includes a restored tidal wetland and constructed stormwater-management features designed to capture and filter runoff before it enters the river. Friends of Bartram's Garden, in partnership with city and state agencies, implemented wetland restoration and bioswale installations as documented urban stormwater improvement projects. The riverside wetland is frequently cited as a local example of using natural systems to treat stormwater in Philadelphia.
