Emily Morgan Hotel (formerly Medical Arts Building)

Constructed in 1924 as the Medical Arts Building, the structure is a Gothic Revival high-rise directly across from the Alamo that was later converted into the Emily Morgan Hotel. Its vertical, castellated design and ornate masonry make it a distinctive early-20th-century example of Gothic-inspired commercial architecture in San Antonio. The building has operated as a hotel since conversion and is a prominent feature of the Alamo Plaza streetscape.
