Ephraim Cutter House

The Ephraim Cutter House, located at 4 Water Street in Arlington, Massachusetts, is a historic Federal period house built around 1804 by a prominent local mill owner. This two-story wood-frame structure features a distinctive dormered hip roof and elegant clapboard exterior, with a notable entrance portico supported by fluted columns. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, it represents one of the few surviving examples of its architectural style in the area. The house was originally oriented towards Massachusetts Avenue but was relocated in 1915 to face Water Street, making it a unique site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and local history.
