Palacio de la Merced

The Palacio de la Merced is a historical building located in Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain, originally serving as the convent of La Merced Calzada. Today, it houses the Provincial Government of Córdoba. The site has a rich history, with excavations revealing Roman and medieval remains, including a baptistery linked to the ancient basilica of St. Eulalia. The current structure, built in the 18th century, features a Latin cross plan church and a beautifully designed cloister. Over the years, it has undergone various renovations, including its transformation into a hospital and later as the seat of the Provincial Deputy.
