Levi Shinn House

The Levi Shinn House, located in Shinnston, Harrison County, West Virginia, is a historic log dwelling built in 1778, making it the oldest standing house in north central West Virginia. Measuring 37 feet long and 20 feet deep, it features a large interior chimney that services multiple fireplaces throughout its rooms. This significant structure was once the residence of Levi Shinn, the town's namesake, and was acquired by the Shinnston Historical Association in 1972. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and is occasionally open to the public, offering a glimpse into the region's rich history.
