Conestoga Cork Works Building

The Conestoga Cork Works Building, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is a historic factory and tobacco warehouse with a rich industrial heritage. Constructed between 1883 and 1897, this three-story brick structure features a unique hipped and gabled roof and a sturdy limestone foundation. Originally serving as a cork cutting factory until 1912, it later functioned as a tobacco warehouse until the 1960s before being transformed into apartments in 1992. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996, making it a noteworthy site for tourists and researchers interested in industrial history.
