St. Barbara Catholic Church (Namibia)

St. Barbara Catholic Church, located in downtown Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia, is a historic Roman Catholic church built in 1914. Dedicated to Saint Barbara, the patron saint of mine workers, it reflects the town's mining heritage, as Tsumeb's economy is heavily based on mining. The church, constructed by German colonial authorities, was the sole operating church in the area from its founding until 1927 and has since become a prominent landmark in the downtown area.
