Scunthorpe Civic Centre

Scunthorpe Civic Centre, also known as Pittwood House, is a notable Grade II listed municipal building located in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England. Originally serving as the headquarters for the Scunthorpe Municipal Borough Council and later North Lincolnshire Council, the building was completed in 1962 and designed in a modernist style by Charles B. Pearson and Partners. It features an L-shaped structure with a striking combination of white stone panels and extensive glazing. A highlight of the interior is a 4th-century Romano-British mosaic of the goddess Ceres. In 2019, the building transitioned to a university campus, showcasing its adaptability and historical significance, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers.
