Assassination of Robert F. Kennedy at the Ambassador Hotel

Senator Robert F. Kennedy was shot in the kitchen pantry of the Ambassador Hotel at 3400 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles on June 5, 1968, shortly after his victory speech in the California Democratic primary. He was mortally wounded and died on June 6, 1968. Sirhan Sirhan was arrested at the scene and later convicted of the assassination. The Ambassador Hotel was subsequently demolished and the site later became the location of the Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools campus.
