Gilbert Row

Gilbert Row, also known as Emery Row, is a historic group of rowhouses located in the Walnut Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. Built in 1889 by Thomas Emery's Sons and designed by the Steinkamp Brothers, this architectural gem showcases the Queen Anne style, which is rare for rowhouses in the city. The complex features six small houses and a commercial building, characterized by stone foundations, brick walls, and ornate details like hip-roofed porches and decorative brackets. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, Gilbert Row is part of the Gilbert-Sinton Historic District, highlighting its significance in local history. After a complete renovation from 2005 to 2006, the buildings were transformed into modern townhomes and condominiums, blending historic charm with contemporary living.
