Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign neon display

The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign was designed by Betty Willis and erected in 1959; its face includes neon tubing and illuminated lightbulbs that create a distinctive nighttime display. The sign was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. Its lights and retro neon styling have made it an often-photographed illuminated landmark at the south end of the Strip.
