Precita Eyes Muralists Association (community mural program)

Precita Eyes Muralists Association is a community-based mural organization founded in 1977 that is credited with helping to establish the Mission District as a center for public mural art. Based at a cultural center on 24th Street, Precita Eyes has organized and helped create hundreds of neighborhood murals and runs educational mural workshops and guided mural tours. The group documents, preserves, and continues to produce community-driven public art throughout San Francisco.
