Hall of Human Origins (National Museum of Natural History)

The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History opened the Hall of Human Origins in 2010 to present archaeological and fossil evidence for human evolution. The exhibition combines original specimens, casts, and cultural artifacts to interpret hominin biology, behavior, and archaeological contexts. The museum’s Department of Anthropology curates large archaeological collections that are used for research, conservation, and rotating exhibits.
