Clay's Hope

Clay's Hope is a historic house located in Bellevue, Talbot County, Maryland, built around 1783. This 2+1⁄2-story, 3-bay Flemish bond brick house features a gable roof and is accompanied by several outbuildings, including the last known tobacco house in Talbot County, dating back to around 1800. Visitors can also explore a smokehouse-like structure and a unique early-19th-century gazebo. The property includes a small cemetery belonging to the Harrison family. Clay's Hope was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
