George Neale Jr. House

The George Neale Jr. House, also known as the Pence Building, is a historic site located in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Constructed in 1840, this two-story structure features a stone foundation and handmade orange-red brick, exemplifying Greek Revival architecture. Originally a residence, it was repurposed into law and real estate offices in the 1880s, with later additions made in 1958 and 1973. The house is significant as it was built by George Neale Jr., who previously constructed a house on Blennerhassett Island in 1833, now a ruin. The George Neale Jr. House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, making it an important landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in West Virginia's architectural history.
