Pfau–Crichton Cottage

The Pfau–Crichton Cottage, also known as Chinaberry, is a historic 19th-century cottage located in Mobile, Alabama. Completed in 1862, it features unique architectural elements, including a two-story design with interconnected rooms and no hallways. The cottage was home to Miss Anne Randolph Crichton, a notable figure who developed elaborate gardens and served in the Navy during World War I. The property, which includes an outlying kitchen and a chapel, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. After years of vacancy, it was restored in 2018, making it an intriguing site for tourists and researchers interested in history and architecture.
