Shihlin Paper Mill

The Shihlin Paper Mill, established in 1919, is a historical site located in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. Originally founded during Japanese rule, it became Taiwan's first paper mill and has undergone various ownership changes, including a transition to a state-owned enterprise after the Republic of China's retreat to Taiwan. The mill was privatized in 1954 and later moved to Taoyuan County in 1998 due to urban development. Today, it is accessible by a short walk from Shilin Station on the Taipei Metro, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers interested in Taiwan's industrial history.
