National Museum of African American Music

The National Museum of African American Music opened in 2021 on Lower Broadway and is dedicated to the musical contributions of African Americans across genres. The museum occupies a renovated downtown building and features interactive galleries, artifacts, oral histories, and rotating exhibits. It presents educational programs and public events focused on the historical and cultural impact of Black music in the United States.
