White Bush

White Bush, also known as the Archibald Shearer House, is a historic brick mansion located in Berkeley County, West Virginia, built between 1781 and 1785. This architectural gem showcases a blend of Federal and Victorian styles and is situated on a significant piece of land once owned by Lord Fairfax, later confiscated during the American Revolutionary War. The property includes a historic grist and saw mill established by 1785. Recognized for its historical importance, White Bush was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in early American history and architecture.
