Clarence House, Richmond

Clarence House is a historic Grade II listed building located in The Vineyard, Richmond, London, dating back to around 1696. Originally built for haberdasher Nathaniel Rawlins, it later became associated with the Duke of Clarence, who would become King William IV. The house served as a Catholic school in the late 18th century, attended by notable figures like Bernardo O'Higgins, who is honored with a blue plaque. After a brief period as a warehouse for Fortnum & Mason during World War II, it has been a private residence since 1947, including ownership by actor Brian Blessed. In 2012, it was listed for sale with a starting price of £22.5 million, reflecting its historical significance and prime location.
