Claude Fouke House

The Claude Fouke House, located at 501 Pecan Street in Texarkana, Arkansas, was a stunning example of Classical Revival architecture, featuring a two-story brick structure with a monumental temple front and fluted Ionic columns. Built in 1903 by railroad heir Claude Fouke, the house boasted intricate woodwork and an elaborate cornice. It was recognized for its historical significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Unfortunately, after years of neglect, the house was demolished in March 2022 and subsequently delisted in September 2022, marking the loss of an important piece of local heritage.
