Los Nogales

Los Nogales is a historic adobe home built in 1849, making it one of the oldest structures in Seguin, Texas. Originally constructed for Justus Gombert, it showcases pioneer architecture with its handmade adobe walls and cypress shingle roof. The house has a rich history, having been owned by notable figures such as Joseph Zorn and Benjamin McCulloch. In 1951, local citizens formed the Seguin Conservation Society to restore the home, which now serves as a museum displaying local historical artifacts. Notably, it was once the site of the first Seguin Post Office, operated from a unique tree-house. Los Nogales was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, making it a significant site for tourists and researchers interested in Texas history.
