Ford Piquette Avenue Plant - birthplace of the Model T

The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant opened in 1904 and served as the Ford Motor Company's production and engineering facility from 1904 to 1910. It is the site where the Ford Model T was developed and where early Ford automobiles were built. The building now operates as a museum offering guided tours, exhibits of early production cars, and preservation of Detroit's automotive history.
