St. Paul's Chapel and the 9/11 survival lore

St. Paul's Chapel of Trinity Church, completed in 1766, is located a few blocks from the World Trade Center and served as a relief and respite center for recovery workers after the September 11, 2001 attacks. The chapel sustained only minor dust and structural impacts despite its proximity to Ground Zero, a fact widely reported and often framed in popular accounts as miraculous. Those characterizations are part of public narrative and debate rather than scientific conclusion.
