Bayview Opera House public art and mural programs

The Bayview Opera House (Ruth Williams Memorial Theatre) at 4705 Third Street is a historic community arts center that commissions and hosts public murals, youth arts projects and community-based visual arts programming. The building, one of San Francisco’s oldest cultural centers, has been a focal point for public-art initiatives and neighborhood mural projects serving the Bayview–Hunters Point community. Its public-facing exterior and adjacent spaces have been used for artist commissions and site-specific community artworks.
