Ethiopian Electric Power Headquarters

The Ethiopian Electric Power Headquarters is a remarkable 62-storey office building currently under construction in the Kirkos district of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's capital. Once completed, it will stand at 327.5 meters tall, making it the tallest building in East Africa and the second tallest in all of Africa, surpassed only by Egypt's Iconic Tower. Located near Mexico Square, the building is strategically positioned close to the central business district. With an estimated construction cost of ETB25 billion (approximately US$445 million), it will also be the most expensive building project in Ethiopia. The design aims to meet the gold standard of the Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) system, highlighting a commitment to sustainability.
