Saints Peter and Paul Church (North Beach)

Saints Peter and Paul Church, located on Filbert Street facing Washington Square, is a twin-spired neoclassical church whose present structure was completed in 1924 after the 1906 earthquake. The church has long been a focal point of San Francisco's Italian-American community and is often referred to locally as the 'Italian Cathedral of the West.' Its façade and interior have been used for community events, religious services, and as a prominent landmark in North Beach.
