Lowell Post Office

The Lowell Post Office, built in 1895, is a striking example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture located at 89 Appleton Street in Lowell, Massachusetts. Designed by W. J. Edbrooke, this historic two-story granite building features a distinctive H shape, rounded arches, and a prominent five-story clock tower. Originally serving as a post office until 1936, it later housed federal offices and city offices until the 1990s. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, it now accommodates a division of the Middlesex County juvenile court system, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and local heritage.
