Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD)

MOCAD opened in 2006 as a nonprofit contemporary art museum in Midtown Detroit, presenting rotating exhibitions of visual art and interdisciplinary programs. The museum hosts artist talks, film screenings, performances, and educational initiatives aimed at engaging local community and national audiences. MOCAD occupies an industrial building on Woodward Avenue and is part of Detroit's contemporary arts infrastructure.
