Palácio de Ferro

Palácio de Ferro, or Iron Palace, is a historic building in Luanda, Angola, believed to have been designed by Gustave Eiffel. Originally constructed in the 1890s in France, it was meant for Madagascar but ended up in Angola after a shipwreck. The building served as an art center during the Portuguese colonial era but fell into neglect post-independence and suffered damage during the civil war. Renovated in 2009, it symbolizes Luanda's revival and is under consideration to become either a diamond museum or a restaurant, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
