Park Street Church

Completed in 1809, Park Street Church sits at the corner of Park and Tremont Streets adjacent to Boston Common and is noted for its tall steeple which served as a navigational landmark for ships in Boston Harbor. The congregation has a long history of social activism, including involvement in early temperance and abolitionist movements. The church's 217-foot steeple and Federal-style architecture make it a prominent Beacon Hill-era landmark.
