Lindsay Building

The Lindsay Building is a historic ten-storey terracotta apartment building located in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba. Originally constructed as an office building between 1911 and 1912, it showcases unique architectural features such as cream-coloured terracotta sheathing, ornamental cartouches, and terracotta angel wings. Designed by local architects John Woodman and Raymond Carey, the building was initially planned as a seven-storey structure but was expanded during construction. Over the years, it has housed various businesses and offices, including insurance companies and retail shops. In 2002, the upper floors were converted into affordable rental apartments, making it a significant part of Winnipeg's residential landscape while preserving its historical charm.
