Space Needle observation and revolving glass-floor installation

The Space Needle was built for the 1962 Century 21 Exposition and rises 605 feet above Seattle as an observation tower and city landmark. A major renovation completed in 2018 added new glass railings, glass floor panels in parts of the observation level, and The Loupe, a revolving glass floor touted as the world's first of its kind. The tower provides panoramic views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and Mount Rainier and remains a documented example of midcentury fair-era engineering adapted with contemporary interventions.
