Stockyards daily cattle drives on Exchange Avenue

The Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District hosts regularly scheduled cattle drives that move live longhorns down East Exchange Avenue as a modern continuation of the city's cattle-shipping history. These twice-daily drives occur in front of the Stockyards Station area and are a concentrated instance of livestock movement through an urban street. The Stockyards occupy land associated with the historic Chisholm Trail and remain a focused pocket of livestock-related urban activity.
