Sutro Baths ruins

Sutro Baths was a large public saltwater swimming complex built by Adolph Sutro and opened in 1896, featuring multiple pools and seating for thousands. At its peak it was the largest indoor swimming facility of its kind in the United States. The complex was severely damaged by a fire in 1966 and the remaining stone ruins are now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and a documented historic site.
