Bourda

Bourda, officially known as Georgetown Cricket Club Ground, is a historic cricket venue located in Georgetown, Guyana. Opened in 1884, it is the oldest cricket ground in the Caribbean and uniquely situated below sea level, surrounded by a moat for flood prevention. The ground has hosted 30 Test matches and is known for its passionate and sometimes volatile crowds, with notable incidents of pitch invasions during high-stakes games. It features cantilever stands reminiscent of old baseball stadiums and is home to the Georgetown Cricket Club. Visitors can enjoy the lively atmosphere, especially at The Mound, where music and DJs enhance the cricket experience.
